AIHA and OSHA renewed their alliance agreement on October 21, 2008 for another two years. The extended relationship between AIHA and OSHA will encourage training, education, outreach, and communication and promote national dialogue on workplace safety and health. The agreement was originally signed on October 2, 2002. AIHA-OSHA Alliance Document New OSHA and Alliance Products AIHA Volunteer Groups have developed the following one-page tip sheets for occupational health and safety professionals to use for at-a-glance information on specific hazards. Each tip provides a brief description of the hazard, methods of control, and resources for additional information. These tips are supported by the OSHA Alliance.
Safety Alert: Prevention of Ergonomic-Related Hazards in Shipyard Employment [PDF* - 134 KB]. Through the OSHA and Shipbuilding Group Alliance and the American Industrial Hygiene Association and American Society of Safety Engineers Alliances, the participants developed a safety alert addressing the prevention of ergonomic-related hazards in shipyard employment, including possible solutions to prevent injuries during the job.
