AIHA is giving all students who plan to attend AIHce in 2012 the opportunity to attend PDCs for FREE. Just apply to be a course monitor!
PDC Monitors assist with the administration of the course. As a monitor, you will be responsible for sign-in, course announcements, and assisting the instructor as required.

All forms should be returned to Jessica Pagel (jpagel@aiha.org) before February 13, 2012. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance and assignment after this deadline. AIHce reserves the right to cancel a course due to low enrollment and/or instructor schedule conflict. Decisions regarding cancellations will be made by March 31, 2012. Unfortunately, if a course is canceled, AIHce cannot guarantee a monitoring assignment to an alternate course.
The AIHce Student Poster submission deadline has been scheduled for Friday, April 13, 2012.
The Ken Dillon Award is presented annually by AIHA's Biosafety and Environmental Microbiology Committee in honor and memory of Dr. Ken Dillon, a former member of the committee, an AIHA fellow, and the principal instructor for several years of the top ten PDC "Prevention, Determination, and Remediation of Biological Contamination in Indoor Environments". The award, which entails a plaque and honorarium is made to the best student poster presented at AIHce on a topic germane to the areas of Biosafety and Environmental Microbiology.
The Student and Early Career Professionals (SECP) Committee is seeking nominations for the Golden Seed Award. This award is to be given to an individual who has made significant contributions to industrial hygiene, above and beyond their typical job responsibilities. This can include contributions in the area of student development, mentoring, or early career guidance. Nominees must have demonstrated a commitment to promoting the profession of industrial hygiene, advancing the profession among students and early career professionals, and/or providing guidance and mentorship to students or early career professionals. Nominees must also be members of AIHA. The award will be presented at AIHce in Indianapolis, IN. Nominations for the Golden Seed Award should be submitted using the nomination form. Your statement should detail how your nominee meets the above criteria. Refer to the guidance on the nomination to assist in creating an affective nomination . Send nominations electronically to Ann Lori with the subject line “Golden Seed.” The nomination should be presented in writing; the deadline for nominations is March 30, 2012.
